Microsoft is running a project called EmpowerMD where they record and recognize the spoken text of the conversation of a doctor and patient. A report of the conversation is automatically generated, can be adjusted by the doctor in an interactive way. It is also possible to replay the audio.
To have a fully operational versatile AI Intelligent Scribe is still far away. However, progress is fast according to dr. Peter Lee and good results are already obtained. The coming years will show fast development with more generalisation of the tools and higher accuracy.
